I've been using Google Reader for a while now (couple years at least) and the stats I just looked at are interesting...
I read the majority of my feeds from 1am to 4am.
But you knew I was a night owl :)

Got this spam today... Think it's a few years late on the whole Saddam's treasure thing but good to know the spammers are still creative :/
EMAIL TEXT for screen readers: Hello,
My name is Sgt. Don Jones and I am an American soldier serving in the Military of the 1st Armored Division in Iraq. As you know, we are being attacked by insurgents everyday and car bombings. We stumbled into Saddam Hussein's storage vault and discovered 2 trunk boxes containing U.S dollars. The total amount is (US$11 Million US dollars) in cash, mostly 100 dollar bills tightly tied in ($10.000.00) bundles. We want to move this money to a reputable/sincere person for investment purposes. This is the reason for contacting you.
We are ready to compensate you with good percentage of the funds. The only thing we require from you is just for you to help us move the funds out of Iraq because Iraq is a war zone. We plan on using diplomatic means to shipping the money out as military cargo, using diplomatic immunity. If you are interested I will send you the full details. My job is to find a good and respectable partner with great repute that we can trust that will assist us. Can we trust you? When you receive this letter, kindly send me an e-mail signifying your interest including your most confidential telephone numbers, and your full mailing address. This is 100% risk free.
Respectfully, Sgt.Don Jones

Since Derek put out the feeler this morning I looked at the world map for Kingdom App (changing to 5th Dimension), a GPS-based land parcel domination game for the iPhone, and it says "Gangplank Belongs to chuckreynolds"... mwahahaha...
Until somebody else that has developer access battle's me out of the spot in 15min...
Anyways cool game, very early beta but it has some big promise. I'm kind of an official, non paid, beta tester so have no obligation to pitch the product - just like where it's going.

Found this that explains what freelance burnout is...
In text form: Could It Be Burnout?
Burnout can temporarily make you feel as though you have chosen the wrong freelancing profession. You might even start to feel “trapped” by your freelance business if you are getting close to burnout.
The difference is that burnout is often temporary. Frequently, the effects of burnout decrease once you’ve had a good rest and revamped your priorities.
Here are some signs of freelancing burnout:
* You’re way overbooked and you don’t know how you’ll possibly get everything done
* You have so much work that you don’t have enough time to get a proper night’s rest
* You can’t remember the last time you took a day off
* Your healthy eating and exercise habits have been sacrificed to your busy work schedule
* You seem to get every little sickness that comes around
* You work so much that it is taking a toll on your personal relationships
Burnout is serious, but it can often be remedied.
If you find that you’re suffering from freelancing burnout, try loosening up your schedule a bit. This might mean accepting fewer clients, outsourcing projects, or simply negotiating better deadlines for yourself. You might also need to manage your time better.

Makes me laugh when agencies offer a list of services taller than me and always are sure to list "Search Engine Optimization" but they have an all flash site... (which to the uninformed is invisible to the search engines).
Here's the source code of the home page of one of these agencies (not singling one out but just happened across this one and decided to use it in the post). Do you see any copy (words) in there? nooo... so what is supposed to be indexed exactly... I'm not going into it here for the noobies but the real webbies out there know what I'm talking about.
Sad thing is they sell that shit service of theirs to people/clients that listen to them as professionals but are getting robbed blind.

If you sell anything on craigslist over like $500 or $1000 dollars you'll notice you'll get a lot of scam emails... They're all very similar in nature but have different stories behind them, which is why I've decided to show off this one.
I've highlighted a couple things to recognize...
1) Notice spelling and grammar are always bad, which is sometimes hard to decipher because, sadly, most people have poor grammar and email etiquette but you'll see.
2) They always want to send a cashier's check. The game goes something like this... they want to send you a cashiers check, you cash it and when your bank processes it they realize it's fraudulent and YOU get penalized for that... ergo YOU have to pay for the amount of money in the check.
Note in this email they asked to send the rest of the money to the shippers... I'm assuming they have a few guys in a rental truck come pick up the item and ask for the shipping money, or they hire a shipping company that assumes you're just shipping it somewhere and you're paying. Idk how that works tho...
Anyways, I just replied with a funny thing but I get so many of these selling stuff on craigslist... Just a warning to those who don't really know how it works.
For Screen Readers Their Email: On Mon, Jun 1, 2009 at 14:45, wrote: Hello, Thanks for your prompt reply.Well,i must say you ve got a nice item and as a matter of fact,In a transaction like this, i will appreciate it if we can put trust first so that the transaction can go smoothly .I would have love to come by with cash and pick it up but at the moment am a kind of too busy to come over,so i think i can send you a cashier check via Fed ex Or UPS overnight and my shipping company could come pick it up once payment is cleared. The Check will be excess and all you what will need to do is to just send the remaining balance to my Shipper for pick up after deducting your money,if you are ok with this please do get back to me with your full name, address and phone number so i can proceed with the payment and please do keep this item for me and inform other interested party that its been sold..ok. thanks for your communication and co-operation.Hope you bear with me and get back to me soon. Sincerely, Jackie
My Reply: lol you scammers... always the same emails - at least try to change up the game a little. While you're doing that, can you also send me $5000 so I can get my rich uncle out of jail in Mexico? When he gets back he'll pay you back plus another $10,000 because he runs a big company and is really really rich. Just send cash and I'll make sure he gets it so you can get paid back quick! :)
